Hi, I'm Martin I was M6MJU then 2E0MJU and now it's
M0MJU.
Professionally I work as a subcontractor for an ecology company. This can mean anything from protected species surveying, trapping and translocation to vegetation management and tree work. I also work as a volunteer at Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve where I am the dormouse and reptile/amphibian recorder for the site. I am qualified for, and do lead groups of volunteers in conservation work, and have helped with the recent refurbishment of the Visitor Centre there. I have had an interest in electronics, that goes back to when I was at school, and built a couple of radio receivers back then. I would liked to have obtained a licence then but was somewhat overawed by the process. Quite by chance, I recently discovered the three tier licence system, and a very friendly and helpful local club. The rest is history! I took the Advanbced exam on Tuesday 31/1/2012 and got my newcall sign M0MJU on Friday 3rd February 2012.
